Hi, I’m Gareth Duerden and together with my wife Shirley and our daughter Kirsty, we created our family business, AlphaPet Photography.

Hi, I’m Gareth and you can probably guess I’m passionate about photography and have been since the age of about 11 years old. I was very lucky to grow up in the stunning countryside of Lancashire and started my working life on a local farm surrounded by animals. I love walking in the countryside and on the coast with my wife Shirley where I enjoy my hobby of landscape & wildlife photography. I feel privileged that I have been able to turn my photography hobby into my profession and spend my days doing what I love, photographing your beautiful pets. However, I couldn’t do this without having a great family team alongside me.

Shirley

Hi, I’m Shirley and I’m from a farming family so I love spending my time surrounded by nature & animals. I enjoy walking in our beautiful countryside and spending time at our caravan on the stunning shores of Morecambe Bay. Gareth & I have been married for 36 years and we have three grown up children. I am at my happiest surrounded by my family so it’s wonderful to be able to spend time together on our AlphaPet journey. I can’t wait to meet all your fur babies and help create beautiful keepsakes that you will treasure forever.

Kirsty

Hi, I’m Kirsty and I’m here to support my Mum & Dad on this photography adventure. I worked in early years education for 15+ years & spent most of that time as a special educational needs co-ordinator. My favourite hobby is to take my camera out when I can and practice my skills. I definitely take after my Dad and share his passion for photography. I am excited to be able to volunteer some of my time to help & support AlphaPet Photography on their journey of photographing the most gorgeous pets and what I’m most looking forward to is getting in some cuddles with all your fur babies. You will see me from time to time when I step in for my Mum on photography shoots.

Hugo

Hi, I’m Hugo, an adorable Frenchie Pug. I’m Kirsty’s little fur baby and I’m four years old. I’m bursting with energy and love being my Mummy’s sidekick and AlphaPet Photography’s mascot! My absolute favourite thing is being outside, chasing leaves and exploring new places. I also love having play dates with my mum and sister.

Together we love creating beautiful family pet portraits. We just love to create memories for you to treasure.
